Dear Customer,

As part of our continuous work to improve the performance and reliability of our platform we need to make changes to live systems from time to time, most often these changes can be made during business hours, with no impact to our customers or to their messaging, however, occasionally a key part of the system must be restarted or failed over to a back up system which could cause a small outage or delay in messaging.

While we plan these changes for times that will have as little impact as possible the nature of a global business means some clients may be affected. Please contact your account manager if this planned maintenance is during a critical time for your business.

Nature of the planned maintenance: We will be failing over a critical component to a backup service

Time frame: The Maintenance Window is planned for Wednesday 27th of November at 23:00 NZDT (Wednesday 27th November at 10:00 UTC) the maintenance window will be 30 minutes, we expect the actual switch over to be completed at the start of the window with the remaining time used for monitoring of the systems only.

Impact: While we are not expecting an actual outage during the maintenance we are pre-warning clients of this work in case of any unexpected impact to messaging services.
During the switch SMPP API customers will see their Binds drop, they should automatically re-bind shortly afterwards.
It is possible a small number of inbound DLRs and MO’s may see a delay of a minute or so.
