All traffic to Australian destinations has continued to flow normally with successful delivery since the carrier network team resolved their issue at 05:52 17/4/2025 AEST, 07:52 NZST, (19:52 16/4/2025 UTC)

Monitoring

We are now seeing messages flowing again toward Australia and being delivered successfully.

Traffic began flowing again at approx 07:52 NZST, 05:52 AEST, 19:52 UTC

We will continue to monitor the connection and traffic and will resolve this incident once we have seen continued successful delivery.

Update

We have further escalated the issue with the Carrier network team who continue to investigate.

The issue is external to Modica, our other routes are not affected, Modica's systems are working normally and we have seen reports from other suppliers of Australian messaging routes that are also affected.

Update

We are experiencing connectivity issues with our Australian Carriers, we are working to recover the connection as soon as possible and will update this status page as soon as we have more information.

The issue appears to be external to Modica, our other routes are not affected, Modica's systems are working normally and we have seen reports from other suppliers of Australian messaging routes that are also affected.

Investigating

We are currently seeing delays in receiving DLRs (Delivery Receipts) for Australian SMS messages, the drop in DLRs started at approximately 15:39 (UTC), 03:39 (NZST), 01:39 (AEST)

DLRs for your outbound messages may be delayed.

We are investigating the cause and impact and will update you again within the next 30 minutes.

This incident affected: Mobile Operators (Australia) and Omni - Applications (Campaign Manager, Mobile Studio, Mobile Gateway (API), Two Factor Authentication, Email2SMS, Subscriptions, Web2SMS, Middleware Customers (RedX to Omni)).
