Viva Dominican Republic resolved their connectivity issue at approximately 17:50 NZST (05:50 UTC, 01:50 AST).
Messages toward Viva mobiles are now flowing normally and messages that had still been queuing have now been sent. Any message that was sent more than an hour before the issue was resolved will have failed to send and if still required would need to be resent.

Investigating
Viva Dominican Republic is currently experiencing a general connectivity incident.
All other Dominican Republic carriers and messaging is unaffected.
Viva’s connectivity went down at approximately 16:16 (NZST) / 04:16 (UTC) on 21/06/24 or 00:16 (AST) on 21/06/24.
We are in frequent communication with Viva and are monitoring our connection to them, as soon as it returns we will send all queued messages.
Messages will queue in Modica’s systems retrying periodically. Messages older than 1 hour will move to a frozen state and will not be delivered. If those messages are still required they will need to be resent.
